Discover the 5 benefits of choosing Promoflex for your promotional display project!
Qualified printing companies offer their clients a color contract (also known as proof) to have a preliminary model reference before printing in order to make sure of the final product’s conformity. Since a publicity campaign often includes a wide variety of displays, colors’ consistency is essential.
According to the files, the client’s specific requests and the presses’ calibrations, it can be difficult to print certain color tones. To meet your needs, a press profile is made. This profile states the specific characteristics such as screen line, density and contrast of the press. With those informations, the proof is produced and the printing contract can be achieved, always with the aim to get a display corresponding to your initial model.
Press profile
A press profile has to consider two important points.
First, it takes into account tone variations of process inks which are influenced by the “contaminants”, in other words the levels of grey contained in the base-pigment ink. This difference in the ink’s tones explains why the resulting color is not always as expected. Then, the press profile evaluates the dot gain to simulate the frames and the depth of the image.
A competent printer will be able to provide a reliable contract but will also be able to match another off-set item by applying some corrections before the printing plates’ production. These modifications are required to provide high-quality printing and, if necessary, to match our displays with a promotional piece of your actual campaign.
The production of a proof representing your needs involves a lot of work. At Promoflex International, our commitment to respect your color specifications is well-known and we are devoted to meet your goals and guarantee your entire satisfaction.
